Rethinking the University in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

The arrival of artificial intelligence is transforming higher education and raises an essential question: What does it mean to be a university in an age when machines can process information, generate texts, and solve problems with extraordinary speed?

The answer does not consist merely in incorporating new technological tools, but in returning to the origins of the university. Since its beginnings, the university has been a community of people united by the pursuit of truth, rational dialogue, and the desire to understand the world in order to serve society better.

In this context, it is necessary to recover a renewed scholasticism: a way of thinking centered on the person, on their dignity, freedom, and capacity for relationship.
